When do we go in for an exchange sacrifice?
In chess, when you sacrifice a piece, you usually do so to free up another piece so that you can attack your opponent’s king. An exchange sacrifice is when a player sacrifices a rook for a minor piece (knight or bishop).
In this session, GM Boris discusses the various nuances of exchange sacrifice with illustrative examples.
The session includes multiple examples, PGN files available for paid subscribers.
